šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļøāœØ Happy International Yoga Day! ✨

Did you know that International Yoga Day was officially established by the United Nations in 2014 — thanks to a proposal from India’s Prime Minister? šŸŒ It’s celebrated every year on June 21st, symbolising light, clarity, and the journey toward inner balance.

What’s it all about?

It’s not just about touching your toes or headstands (though those are fun, especially with our Feet Up gadget šŸ˜„). It’s a global celebration of yoga’s power to bring peace, strength, joy, and unity — across cultures, bodies, and hearts. šŸ’›

Fun yoga facts!

šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø The word yoga means ā€œto yokeā€ or unite — mind, body, spirit.

šŸ§˜ā€ā™‚ļø There are more than 100 styles of yoga — from calm and stretchy to sweaty and strong!

šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø Even goats and dogs have yoga classes now

šŸ§˜ā€ā™‚ļø Over 300 million people practice yoga worldwide — and growing!

šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø Yoga is for every body, every age, and every mood. No flexibility required — just a willing heart.

As a yoga teacher, I feel so lucky to share the magic of:

šŸŒ• Gentle Yoga – soft, mindful movement to meet you where you are

🌿 FlowĀ Yoga – gentle, yet energising movements to awaken and empower

šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø Yin Yoga – slow, grounding stillness and deep release

⚔ Kundalini Yoga – powerful kriyas, breath-work & inner awakening

Today, I’m extra grateful for this path — for all the moments on (and off) the mat that have brought stillness, strength, healing, and so much love. šŸ’–

Tell me — how has yoga changed your life?
