Who am I?

Welcome, my name is Dora. I am originally from Hungary, currently living in the UK with my husband and 3 children.

I am passionate about all things Yoga and Ayurveda. My life's mission is to introduce these wonderful systems to students, to help them nurture their body, mind, and spirit by clearly and compassionately guiding them through a yoga practice that is skillful, intelligent, and enjoyable.

How did my Yoga journey begin?

When our second child, our daughter, reached the terrible two's she revealed herself as my teacher. Everything I knew about life, parenthood, myself as a woman was thrown out of the window due to that little bundle of a 2 year old.Whatever I did was the opposite of what she wanted. We locked horns day and night. Lots of crying on both parts. I felt depressed, terrible, useless. This is where I started my spiritual journey. First through alternative therapies like Kineziology and Bach Flower Therapy. Things got better, but there was still a lot of room for improvement. After our 3rd child was born, I discovered Yoga, and never looked back since.

In 2009 I started to go to a Yoga class 2x a week. My path was to begin with two dedicated teachers, Csaba Porffy (Ashtanga Vinyasa) and Agnes Tengerdy (Vinyasa Flow, Kundalini, Yin Yoga), who introduced me to yoga, not just on the physical level but the whole wonderful system.

As my body slowly shed all the anguish, pain, blocks and my mind started to clear up the question started to formulate in my head: what is my daughter trying to tell me? And here I embarked on the road to self inquiry, of connecting to myself. It has not been the path I have imagined, but it has been every bit worth it, and it is a path I wish to follow all through my life.

When you find something you truly love and believe in you want to share it with others. After practicing Yoga for 3 years I have decided to go deeper and started my studies in 2012 to teach Yoga and eventually Yoga Therapy. When the student is ready the teacher appears. I am forever grateful for the wonderful guidance and knowledge I have received from my teacher Indu Arora (Hatha Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Therapy), and all the other teachers who have guided me to be here now.
