In 2026 we are going deeper into a fascinating subject: the 11 Moon centres in Kundalini Yoga. If you read my blog/follow me, you already know that I am all in about all things Moon related. When we studied about the 11 Moon centres in my teacher training, I immediately felt a deep connection to this knowledge and the wish to share with students. In 2026 we are going to have a workshop for each of the Moon Centres.
What are these Moon centres?
Yogi Bhajan says: "woman is a highly sophisticated system. She must keep her energy systems finely tuned and balanced so she can honestly, intelligently, intuitively and consciously create every facet of life. There is a powerful relationship between woman and her lunar vibrations. This is manifested physically, mentally, & behaviorally. She waxes and wanes emotionally according to the movement of her "inner moon" relative to the influences of the outer Moon. The chin is the main center for receiving the moon's energies. This is true for both men and women. But while a man has just this one interaction with the moon, the woman has 11 additional centers through which the energy moves during a 28-day cycle. So at any one time, the chin and one of the other centers is activated, approximately 21/2 days each."
What does this translate to? Men have 1 Moon centre: the Chin. This moon centre brings stability. Women have 11 additional Moon centres. They fluctuate between these centres every 2-2.5 days. So in affect if a woman is stable all through the month, she is behaving like a man. It is perfectly natural for us ladies to change every other day. That is what makes us beautiful.
Are you a woman, noticing that you have a thousand personalities? Are you a man living with a woman who have a thousand personalities? Learning about the Moon centres may help you with navigating these personalities.

Each moon centre is active for about 2-2.5 days a month, which actually comes to the 28.5 days average moon cycle (period) for a woman. Each moon centre we can experience in the negative, positive and neutral mind.
Here is a brief summary of the 11 moon centres for women:
Hairline - CLARITY & STABILITY. The most sensitive moon centre. When a woman is in the hairline she is immovable, stable, stagnant. She is the most genuine, the most authentic, because she lives and gives herself fully.
Cheeks - UNPREDICTABILITY. When the woman is in the cheeks, she is the most dangerous, because she cannot control herself, she is unpredictable and lacking restraint.
Lips - COMMUNICATION. When a woman is in the lips, she wants to talk, exchange ideas, give a presentation to everyone who will listen.
Earlobes - INTELLIGENCE & VALUES. When a woman is in the earlobes, she cares about values deeply. She is most critical, she analyses everything. She follows ethics.
Back of the neck - ROMANCE. When a woman is around the back of her neck, she is extremely romantic, she becomes emotional even when receiving a single flower.
Nipples - COMPASSION & GIVING. When a woman is in the nipple, she is understanding, infinitely compassionate and giving.
Navel - UNCERTAINTY & VULNERABILITY. When a woman is in her navel, she is most insecure and can be easily deceived. She finds it difficult to decide.
Inner thighs - CONFIDENCE. When a woman is in the inner thighs, she wants to secure and strengthen everything. She wants life to be organised.
Eyebrows - IMAGINATION. When a woman is in the eyebrows, she has a powerful imagination, she can be led by the nose as she may be dreamy, building sand castles in the sky.
Clitoris - TALKATIVE. When a woman is in the clitoris, she is talkative, attractive, "bubbly". Her energy is outward.
Vagina - DEPTH & SHARING. When a woman is in the vagina, she is eager to socialise, seeks company, and touches on deep topics. She seeks deep connections.
