week 1

1. Introduction & the 5 Elements (12 min):

According to Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga, everything consist of the 5 elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Ether) only the proportion of these elements change. In this video we tune into these elements and their main attributes.

2. Getting to know the Doshas (5 min)

Now that we know our Elements, let's see how they form the 3 Ayurvedic Doshas:

- Earth & Water make up Kapha 

- Fire & Water make up Pitta

- Air & Ether make up Vata

3. Our Balance & Imbalance (4 min):

Our natural born balance is our Dosha 

constitution, find out yours:

In this video we are looking at each individual Dosha in depth. How does a Vata look like? How does a Pitta behave? What is the Kapha's favorite hobby?

In this video we are looking at the cycles the Doshas are present in such as the cycle of the day, cycle of the seasons and our lifecycle.  When is it best to exercise? Should I take a hot yoga class in the summer?

6. Digestive Fire and Nutrition (15 min)

In this video we are looking at the importance of a healthy digestive fire and what eating for your Dosha means

7. Balancing the Vata

Let's put all of that we have learned together, looking at the Vata energy through body type, characteristics, energy, possible imbalances and ways to come back to the center through simple breathing and Yoga practices

8. Balancing the Pitta

Let's put all of that we have learned together, looking at the Pitta energy through body type, characteristics, energy, possible imbalances and ways to come back to the center through simple breathing and Yoga practices

9. Balancing the Kapha

Let's put all of that we have learned together, looking at the Kapha energy through body type, characteristics, energy, possible imbalances and ways to come back to the center through simple breathing and Yoga practices
