Beginners Yoga Courses​

Have you been thinking about starting up, or restarting a Yoga practice because you have heard about the amazing benefits? Don't know where to start, or not too keen on starting in a big group with lots of bendy people?

Wouldn't it be nice to get all the benefits of stress relief, pain relief, better sleep, increased balance and flexibility, calmer mind and a lovely community in a small and friendly group with everyone in the same shoes?

I am excited to introduce this special course running regularly: Introduction to Yoga, a 4-6 weeks Yoga course just for you. The course is specially designed with beginners in mind but it can be useful for anybody practicing Yoga already as each teacher may teach you something from a new angle, or it could be that you need to hear it several times before the knowledge becomes wisdom. Starting at the basics and building up from there. Detailed alignment and elongation of the spine, full yogic breathing, how to practice forward and back bends, twists and inversions safely and much more depending on the individuals attending.

What will we cover in the course?

  • Belly breathing / Yogic breathing - to activate the Rest & Digest part of the nervous system

  • 6 movements of the spine that we should practice regularly

  • Joint cleansing series to keep our joints in the best shape possible

  • Strengthening the digestive fire

  • Emphasis on safe pratice, how to bend forward / backwards, twist and inversions for maximum benefit and long term health

  • Basic standing, seated, reclined Yoga poses that you would meet in a regular Yoga class

  • Progressive relaxation

  • Introduction to meditation

  • Yoga Nidra

  • Mantras and Mudras, the subtle techniques

The course is always based on the individual group, the points above are just a few of the areas that we will cover.

Your Investment - £8 per session, payable in advance for a block of 4/5/6 sessions depending on the length of the course.

Blocks of classes are non refundable and non transferable.
